Blue Angels Practice Shows

National Museum of Naval Aviation, Pensacola

If you want to enjoy a different kind of aerial adventure, head over to NAS Pensacola for a public practice demonstration by the famous Blue Angels flight team. On select fall weekdays, visitors can grab a seat on the outdoor flight line to ooh and aah at the death-defying acrobatics put on by our talented military pilots. If you’re lucky, stick around after the show for a meet-and-greet autograph signing inside the museum!

Flora-Bama Bulls On The Beach

September 5-7, 2024
Flora-Bama Lounge & Oyster Bar

Dust off your spurs and grab a front-row seat to the biggest beachfront rodeo of the year. Flora-Bama’s annual Bulls On The Beach offers three full nights of live rodeo action featuring professional bull riders from across the country. Tickets are $40 per adult, $20 for children ages 7-17 (kids under 6 are free!) and can be purchased online; a portion of all proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Be sure to enter your little broncs into the Coloring Contest on Thursday night – 2 lucky winners will go home with a NEW bike!

The Annual Alabama Coastal BirdFest

October 4-6, 2024
5 Rivers Delta Resource Center

Calling all birders! Grab your flock and migrate south for the annual event everyone’s chirping over – the Alabama Coastal BirdFest. During this three-day event, expert guides lead attendees on boat and walking tours to some of the best birdwatching spots in the area to take advantage of the yearly fall migration. Visitors can also attend various workshops and browse the Bird and Nature Expo on Saturday to enjoy hands-on activities and boat cruises conducted by junior birders.

Orange Beach Freedom Fest

October 4-5, 2024
The Wharf in Orange Beach

The 4th Annual Orange Beach Freedom Fest is a patriotic party that fills The Wharf in Orange Beach with classic cars, live music, local vendor booths, kids activities, food trucks and more. This year’s schedule also includes a motorcycle and jeep rally, first responder demonstrations, and a Collectible Firearms Show. Freedom Fest is free to attend and open to the public; some featured activities have a small fee.

The Annual National Shrimp Festival

October 10-13, 2024
Gulf Place (Gulf Shores Main Public Beach)

Nothing says fall like the fresh Gulf seafood at our world-famous National Shrimp Festival. This popular four-day event draws in over 300,000 foodies and beachgoers to savor the freshest local seafood, jam to live and local bands, browse hundreds of vendor booths and soak up the fall sunshine. The 2024 Shrimp Fest will feature more than 100 hours of musical entertainment with top acts spanning all genres and artists from every corner of the country. Admission is free for all ages, so wear your stretchy pants and get ready for the best fall event of the year.
